Prof. (Mrs) Oluwatooyin Faramade Oludahunsi

Prof. Oluwatooyin Faramade OLUDAHUNSI was born in Oyo. She graduated with B. Sc. (Hon.) Second Class (Upper) in Food Science and Technology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She had M.Sc. and Ph. D from University of Ibadan in 1994 and 1999, respectively.

 

She was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship under UNESCO at Technion-IIT, Israel (2001/2002). A recipient of prestigious international fellowship including: Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (AvH) at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany; IFS, Sweden; TWAS-ROSSA, Kenya; AWARD Kenya; DIES–HRK Germany; ANLP, South Africa; with NFP of Wageningen University, Netherlands.

Prof. Oludahunsi started her teaching at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). She is a Professor of Food Science and Technology, with application of indigenous crops to reduce malnutrition, improve health and ensure food security. She has authored/co-authored ninety-nine scientific publications and several proceedings in both local and international peer-reviewed journals. She has supervised and graduated thirty-eight Masters and sixteen Ph. D students. Currently she is the Dean, School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT), FUTA. She was awarded Best HOD-2014 and BEST Dean-2023 at FUTA. She holds a certificate in Modern Higher Education Management from the University of Applied Sciences, Osnabrueck, Germany. She is a member of the Senate and Chairperson of committees in FUTA. She was a member of the University Governing Council.

She served as a mentor at African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) Kenya. Prof. Oludahunsi is a Fellow of NIFST and Institute of Public Analysts (FIPAN), also a member of Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). She is married to Dr Rufus Olatunde Oludahunsi and blessed with children.
